Bedroom design basics
Place the bed first, ideally against a solid wall with walking space on both sides. Plan the wardrobe on the longest free wall and take it up to the ceiling with a loft. Keep colours soft and the lighting warm and dimmable. In Kolkata's humid climate, use termite-treated ply for beds and wardrobes and keep a small gap between furniture and outer walls so air can move.
